Eddie D. Evans, Jr.

Pastor

Pastor Eddie D. Evans Jr. is a native of Palm Beach County, Florida and a graduate of Twin Lakes High School. He was born into the household of God-fearing parents and reared in traditional Pentecostal values. In February 1979, he married his high-school sweetheart, Annie L. Jenkins.

1982 was a life-changing year for Pastor Eddie Evans. He accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior of his life and enlisted in the U.S. Army. During his time in the military, he served in three campaigns-Granada, Panama, and the Gulf War where he received numerous awards.

Pastor Evans ministry journey began in 1990. While serving in the U.S. Army, Pastor Evans was called to the ministry under the leadership of Chaplain Larry Shaw. He and Lady Evans attended Murphy State University and received his credential for the ministry. Pastor Evans was ordained an Elder in 1992 under the late Bishop S Frances in Lawton, Oklahoma. From there, he would be called to serve as the Assistant Pastor.

After serving 13 years in the U.S. Army, Pastor Evans received and Honorable Discharge. He and Lady Evans returned to Palm Beach County and resumed their membership with Pentecostal Church of God in Christ of the USA, Inc. under the leadership of the late John D. Alexander. During this time, Elder Eddie Evans served the ministry in numerous capacities and became the Assistant Pastor in 2002. Upon the passing of Bishop John D. Alexander in November 2007, Elder Eddie D. Evans assumed leadership of the congregation. In March 2008, he was installed as the Pastor of the Pentecostal Church of God in Christ of the USA, Inc. under the leadership of Presiding Bishop Randy Hightower.

Pastor Eddie D. Evans serves with a heart of compassion and a desire for unity in the corporate body of Christ. Upon his heart, he wears his mantle from 1 Corinthian 10:13 -

There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
